The rules for listing, discovering, requesting, messaging about, and booking physical ad placements on Muro.

Last updated August 18, 2026

Using Muro

Muro provides tools for hosts and advertisers to coordinate physical advertising placements. The platform helps users list inventory, discover spaces, send requests, exchange messages, make offers, and prepare bookings.

Muro is not a guarantee that a placement will be available, accepted, installed, or successful. Final details depend on the host and advertiser agreeing on the placement, timing, creative, price, and any venue rules.

Accounts and roles

Users may act as hosts, advertisers, or both. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for activity that happens through your account.

  • Hosts use Muro to publish and manage ad spaces they control or are authorized to sell.
  • Advertisers use Muro to discover placements, save spaces, send requests, and coordinate campaigns.
  • Users must not impersonate another person or company, misrepresent their role, or use false account information.

Host responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for making sure each listing is accurate, authorized, and realistic for advertisers to evaluate.

  • Only list spaces you control or have permission to sell.
  • Use accurate venue, location, format, pricing, availability, and audience information.
  • Disclose material restrictions, installation requirements, creative rules, or approval steps.
  • Respond honestly to advertiser requests, offers, messages, and booking questions.

Advertiser responsibilities

Advertisers are responsible for the campaigns they submit and the creative they want to place.

  • Submit truthful campaign, business, and timing details.
  • Only upload or use creative, images, logos, and copy you have the right to use.
  • Respect venue rules, listing restrictions, local laws, and any host approval process.
  • Do not submit misleading, unsafe, illegal, or infringing campaign content.

Requests and offers

A request or offer starts a conversation. It is not final until both sides accept the relevant terms and any required payment or confirmation steps are completed.

Hosts may accept, decline, or counter advertiser requests. Advertisers may revise campaign details, negotiate with hosts, or choose not to move forward.

Payments and bookings

Some placements may move into payment through Stripe after a request is accepted. Payment timing, refunds, fulfillment, campaign changes, and post-booking coordination may depend on the agreed placement details and the policies shown during checkout.

Stripe may handle payment information directly. Muro may keep booking records needed to operate the marketplace, support users, and resolve disputes.

Content and creative

Users are responsible for the content they submit to Muro, including listing photos, descriptions, campaign materials, messages, and uploaded creative.

By submitting content, you confirm that you have the rights needed to use it on Muro and in connection with the requested placement. Muro may remove content that appears fraudulent, harmful, infringing, or inconsistent with the marketplace.

Google Maps features and content

When enabled and configured, Muro includes Google Maps features and content for map and location functions. If Muro separately enables the optional Google Places venue-photo fallback, that feature requests live photos only for eligible venues without a durable venue photo. This disclosure does not indicate whether that optional fallback is currently enabled and does not itself represent Google approval or authorization.

Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current Google Terms of Service, including the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy.

Acceptable conduct

Do not use Muro to post fraudulent inventory, abuse messaging, harass other users, interfere with the platform, scrape data, evade payment flows, or coordinate activity that violates applicable law.

Muro may limit, suspend, or remove access when platform activity creates risk for users, hosts, advertisers, or the service.
